700Introduction#
This section of the LSPD Department Manual will go over all policies that this agency has placed into effect to regulate the promotions and incentive structures this department offers to all Officers.
701Promotions (Members)#
All promotions will be conducted twice a month. These promotions account for all Officers to the rank of Master Officer. In order for a promotion to be granted, an Officer must:
- Be at their current rank for a minimum of two (2) weeks.
- Log a total of six patrol hours in the promotion cycle.
- Be in good standing with the department.
- Have no major disciplinary actions within the last 30 days, or have any promotion holds active.
702Promotions (COC Entry)#
Promotion to LSPD CoC is a tremendous and honorable opportunity to help lead the department to achieve all its goals and objectives. The selection process is very thorough and comprehensive but highly competitive and only the top-scoring Officers will be considered. This process shall be conducted by LOIs or appointments as deemed necessary by administration.
703Promotions (COC)#
In addition to the aforementioned factors, though CoC promotions are never guaranteed, the following factors can improve an Officer's chances of being noticed by Command and potentially considered for a CoC position and/or promotion:
- Completing their assigned duties on a consistent and timely basis.
- Answering questions for new members and guiding them through their experience with LSPD.
- Taking initiative with updates, suggestions, and recommendations that may benefit the overall department.
- Thinking "outside the box" with improving existing policies and processes for the betterment of the LSPD department.
704LSPD Incentive Program#
LSPD rewards its members for their activity, hard work, professionalism, dedication, and commitment to the department. Officers who embody the department's core values will be recognized publicly and will be awarded certain incentives depending on their rank and standing within the department. The LSPD Officer of the Cycle will have access to the Sergeant's vehicle structure for 7 consecutive days.
704-03LSPD Top Patroller of the Cycle:#
Given by LSPD CoC to any member or reserve who patrols the most logged, reviewed, and verified hours in a given cycle. This member must also be in good standing with LSPD CoC with no disciplinary actions received in the past 30 days.
The LSPD Top Patroller will receive the vehicle structure that is two ranks above their current rank (i.e.: Officer = Corporal, Senior Officer = Sergeant, Corporal = Command) for a period of 7 consecutive days.
704-04LSPD Picture of the Month:#
All Officers are given the opportunity to submit a picture for the "Picture of the Month" competition. From there the CoC looks at all the submissions and selects the picture of the month. The Officer receiving POTM has the ability to choose any vehicle of his liking to be driven slick top for a period of 14 days. This request must be taken through their CoC.
To allow all Officers to participate within this program a member can only win the POTC once every 3 months. The picture must be submitted into the #media channel in the LSPD Discord and GSPRP Discord.
705LSPD Birthday Program#
The Chief of Police has a special program in place to celebrate birthdays.
