400Introduction#

This section of the manual will go over all items that affect the department's membership, from activity requirements to conduct.

401Officer Conduct#

Officers are expected to act with the utmost respect and professionalism towards other community departments and civilians. Officers must always be mindful that their actions are a reflection of the entire department. As such, Officers must always exhibit patience, discretion, and a calm demeanor when encountering difficult situations. All Officers must embody the department's core values of Integrity, Excellence, Fairness, and Respect as outlined in Section 103.

402Undermining CoC#

This is usually done by:

  1. Deliberately spreading false and negative rumors about our members
  1. Leaking of our assets & documents which we've worked hard to create and protect
  1. Using a childish and combative attitude while discussing a subject that you disagree with, with no intent to find a common ground but rather have "the last word".

This will not be tolerated within LSPD; violations are subject to disciplinary action.

403Member & CoC Toxicity#

This is typically conducted by a member who has no clear intention of resolving an issue but would rather want to cause unnecessary "drama".

  1. They make rude, unfunny, and in-poor-taste jokes with/about a member they don't know well (light friendly jabs with people you are friends with are ok, as long as you know them well and/or they are ok with it).
  1. They exhibit a self-righteous know-it-all attitude with an insatiable need to have the last word with no regard to alternative opinions or other considerations.

Toxicity will not be tolerated at all while utilizing in-game channels or Discord channels. Furthermore, any form of ongoing obnoxious disrespectful comments posted within the San Andreas Reborn Discord server, department Discord server, or affiliated channel/forum will not be tolerated.

Members of LSPD may be subject to disciplinary action based on violations of this section. Repeat offenders may be subject to demotion or other disciplinary actions up to termination from the department.

404Activity Requirements#

LSPD activity requirements are split into two groups:

404-01LSPD Members and CoC#

LSPD members' activity in-game and on Discord are extremely important to the longevity, growth, and success of the department. Although there are no mandated hours in Discord, all Officers are required to patrol a minimum of four hours each cycle (two hours per week) to be marked as "Active". Any member below four hours will be marked as "Inactive". If an Officer does not meet the minimum activity requirements within a cycle they will receive an inactivity strike. Three inactivity strikes will result in their removal from the department. One inactivity strike may be removed for every two consecutive active cycles with four hours or more.

404-02Command Staff#

Given their responsibilities in leading the overall department and high expectations from directorship as outlined in section 100, Command Staff will have modified activity requirements. Captain(s), Lieutenant(s), and Administration will be required to meet the expectations set forth by the Chief of Police as he sees fit. These expectations will be clearly communicated to each rank and will be overseen.

A member on LOA will be exempt from the activity requirements outlined above.

405Leave Of Absence ("LOA") Policy#

If members need to step away from the community for a while due to real life, school, work, or any other factors, a leave of absence (LOA) must be taken. A LOA shall be filled in our discord. Inactivity strikes will not be enforced against members while they are on LOA. Whilst being a member of LSPD, members are allowed to take an LOA for a maximum of 30 days with approval from their Lieutenant. If a member's LOA exceeds 30 days, the reason for LOA must be valid, specific, and satisfactory to LSPD Command. Any LOA which exceeds 30 days must be approved by Administration. While on LOA, members must not utilize any FiveM servers to patrol. This also includes dispatching.

406Resignation Process#

If a member of LSPD wishes to resign from the department, they must see a CoC member prior to leaving the department Discord.

If a member were to leave without meeting with LSPD CoC, the resignation will be logged as an improper resignation where the member will result in a department blacklist.

407LSPD Reserve Officer System#

Community members who wish to join LSPD as a Reserve Officer, who meet the requirements below, may express their interest via an Administration Ticket in the LSPD Discord. Community members that wish to join LSPD as a reserve Officer MUST be a member of the community's development team, non-LEO department heads, OR on the Board of Directors. They must have no outstanding LSPD Department Blacklists, and must have no relevant disciplinary action in the past 30 days.
